Coach Dan Lanning capped off the Oregon Ducks' second official visit recruiting weekend in June with three commitments. The trio of three-star recruits announced on social media on June 8 that they're committed to the Ducks , bringing the total to 17 commits in the class of 2027 .

Recruiting Surge Continues

The weekend's biggest haul came from three-star wide receiver Malachi Garlington flipping from Washington State to the Ducks , marking a significant local pickup. George VanSandt, a tight end from Central Catholic in Portland, and Achilles Reyna, an edge rusher from Rainier Beach in Seattle, also committed on June 8 .

Reyna adds to the new local representation coming to Eugene. The 6-8 edge rush talent stars for Ranier Beach High School in Seattle, and he previously gave basketball a try before putting on the football cleats .

Five-Star Visit Weekend

The recruiting momentum was anchored by five-star wide receiver recruit Dakota Guerrant taking his official visit to the Oregon Ducks this weekend. Headlining the weekend was Harper Woods (Mich.) composite five-star wide receiver Dakota Guerrant , who remains the Ducks' top recruiting target regardless of position according to insiders .

The Ducks hosted several recruits that were close to home, including two in-state targets. Two recruits from Washington were in: offensive lineman Gecova Doyal and defensive lineman Achilles Reyna. Florida cornerback Kamauri Whitfield rounded out the lineup .

Elite Camp Action

The Oregon Ducks have coaches jotting down names of potential recruits during June 2026. Including the ones who competed inside Autzen Stadium for a prospect camp . Four-star cornerback Ca'Ron Williams came all the way from Rancho Santa Margarita Catholic in California's Orange County to compete inside the Ducks' home venue .

Per On3's Max Torres, Williams has received an offer from Oregon, and he could be part of the Ducks' plans in the 2028 recruiting class . The versatile defensive back "showed his versatility by playing on the outside, inside, man press, off man and zone" during the camp.

Baseball Season Ends

While football recruiting flourished, the Oregon baseball team's season came to an end in Austin. No. 6 Texas won the opening game of the NCAA Austin Super Regional, 11-3, at Disch-Falk Field on June 6, before Texas punched its ticket to the Men's College World Series with a dramatic 6-5 victory over Oregon in an NCAA super regional game Sunday .

Oregon (43-17) outhit the Longhorns, 9-8, and had traffic on the bases throughout the night, but Texas was able to turn away nearly every threat as UO stranded a season-high 17 runners while going 0-for-14 with runners in scoring position in the series opener.

Looking Ahead

The weekend of June 12 will be another big opportunity for Lanning's program, with Rivals listing 11 expected visitors. Multiple five-star recruiting targets – defensive lineman Marcus Fakatou and cornerback Hayden Stepp – are slated to visit Eugene. Four-star defensive lineman Kasi Currie and four-star receiver Blake Wong are other big targets scheduled to make their visits .

Oregon Ducks quarterback Dante Moore is officially on the cover for EA Sports College Football 27. As the buzz continues to pick up for the Oregon Ducks' 2026 season, their star quarterback, Dante Moore, picked up a new accolade in the offseason , adding to the program's momentum heading into the summer.
